I can't believe that my girls are 3 years old and 5 months! It seems like it was just their birthday. I have just been thinking a lot about how much older and more mature they seem lately and thought I'd share some of the comedy in our lives.
Last week I picked the girls up from preschool and Chloe was crying. Upon inquiring of the problem, I learned that Chloe had asked a little boy to have a wedding with her and he told her no. She was less then impressed. I told my sister to ask Chloe about it later.
Auntie - "Why were you sad today?"
Chloe - "Because Owen was mad at me."
Auntie - "Why was he mad at you."
Chloe - "I wanted him to be my wedding boy and he said no!"
Ava - "How sad for Owen."
On Sunday we stopped at Starbucks for John to get a coffee. When he got back in the car Ava asked him what kind of coffee he got. He said "an Americano." Ava sat back and said "Whatever." Seems to be a word of the week, interjected whenever possible.
Chloe wouldn't get ready to go to gymnastics on Friday morning, so to hurry her up I told her I was leaving and would have to call a babysitter to stay with her if she wasn't going to get moving. Eventually she did get ready, but was once again slow-poking around on Saturdy and I hear Ava say "you better hurry up or we're gonna have to get a babysitter for you." Such a mini-me...
I am constantly left speechless or laughing by the things they say. I wish I had time to write it all down, but then I'd never get anything else done! Ava is especially filled with sass these days and Chloe is more in need of hugs and kisses for her many dramatic episodes each day. Luckily there is good balance of emotions between them.
